It’s Not You, It’s We is a short experimental narrative featuring conversations
between Helen, a bitter pragmatist and Bernie, an eccentric video artist. It uses traditional narrative forms combined with a non-narrative structure to define their relationship to themselves and to one another. The film is composed of conversations broken up by VHS footage aiming to give insight to the character's psyche. The quirky nature of the women’s discussions imply a particular familial relationships- those of sisters, mothers daughters and at times resemble the quarrels of lovers.
